If civilisation systematically dismantles the global ecological infrastructure and the sooner it comes down the more life will be left behind then… [2018]

Statement

If Civilization delves into the stark asymmetries and ethical dilemmas inherent in global resource distribution, envisioning a world where humans sustain one another without the crutch of tools. This initially utilitarian vision soon exposes unsettling parallels to exploitation. Through a blend of bodily techniques, minimal props, an evocative soundscape, and deliberate inaction, this immersive work directly confronts the imperialistic capitalist system.

The governance of individuals and the rationalisation of exploitative practices are facilitated by the skills acquired and deployed both within and beyond conventional work structures. The widely held conviction that participation in work, irrespective of immediate remuneration, augments an individual's prospects for future employment can serve as a compelling inducement, inadvertently masking the inherent dynamics of exploitation that may be present within such arrangements.

'There were twists around every corner as two men acted out a hellish nightmare sequence of environmentalism and the downfall of civilisation... what I experienced was the opposite of being bored. It was a much-deserved morbid curiosity that I am glad to have witnessed.' -Ed Fringe Review
