Film

Created at Performance Art Forum (PAF) over ten days in October 2023 with a single shot duration of 46:00

Displayed on a television in one of the bathrooms in PAF.

It’s a work that looks at CIA disruption tactics, presentation techniques, TV news station aesthetics and body language and behaviour analysis. It is a work that focuses on the power of language as a tool to implement or prevent change and who in our society is given this power.

The work is centred around a custom program that, when fed language into it, produces a never ending live monologue.

It is fed language taken from announcements to shareholders made by the former ceo of Shell Ben Van Buren and the words of Scottish climate activist Lauren MacDonald.

This monologue is then vocalised through text to speech and relayed into the performers ear via a Bluetooth headphone.

Throughout the performance, the performer is conducted from behind the camera to encourage them to present and gesticulate better.
